Foróige Young people of Tyrrelstown meet with Mayor Mary McCamley

Tyrrelstown United Foróige Group, Dublin 15, met with Mayor in Tyrrelstown Community Centre, on Tuesday 12th June.

The group met with the Mayor McCamley to highlight the work they have been doing in relation to a campaign to get an astro turf put in locally.

The group presented the Mayor with a proposal which goes through the importance of having an astro turf in the community and the value it would bring to it.

The group also gathered a petition and presented it to Fingal Co. Council.

Aine Howard, Foróige Youth Officer said “I’m so proud of the work this group have done. The group is aged 10-11 years old and they’ve achieved amazing things. I hope to see them continue with the project and hopefully see it have a successful outcome.

Tyrrelstown United Foróige Group, Dublin 15 also won a Gold Star Award for their campaign to get a new astro turf in Tyrrelstown at the Aldi Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards earlier this year.
